The StoryMap is an interactive device for people to share experiences of local environments by creating layered maps that are both physical and digital.
Produced for a PhD candidate at the Royal College of Art, the StoryMap exists in two forms. As a physical installation it has been part of the Shakespeare in Shoreditch festival, where it collected visitors anecdotes and drawings from the semi-fictional isle of Hackney, presenting them in a physical/digital map that could then be explored.
It was also exibited at FACT Liverpool, where it collected anecdotes and hidden narratives of the city.
It was then converted to an interactive online archive where the content and context can be explored.
I was responsible for the software development and electronic components of the installation, as well as the design and development of the online version.
