The Push Snowboarding project collected physical and mental data from snowboarders during their rides – heart rate, snowboard foot pressure, speed, galvanic skin response. In this installation, the data is parsed and displayed as a projected digital poster, representing each run in real time.
The installation needed to be able to be shipped overseas and installed quickly by someone unfamiliar with it. To deal with possible discrepancies in arrangement we created a system to allow for the position of individual elements to be adjusted and saved.
Overall, seven pieces of data are represented by the installation creating an in depth breakdown of the rider. Produced with Signal Noise. The visualisation was exhibited at the Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championship.
