Oliver Smith
works with performance, software, sound, and other people to try and understand the long-tail of cybernetics.
He is based in London and performs and exhibits globally with dmstfctn, the artist duo he co-founded with Francesco Tacchini in 2017, including at Serpentine, Berghain, HKW, Rhizome, Unsound, CTM and transmediale. dmstfctn are n-space fellows at Somerset House.
He is a digital designer and developer with 15+ years of experience working with clients including artists, designers, fashion brands, universities, and cultural institutions.
Oliver has over a decade of experience as an educator at globally leading art and design institutions. He has lectured, written and developed curricula, and managed academic teams, most recently as course leader for MA Interaction Design at the University of the Arts London.
